The Higher Diploma in Orthopaedic and Soft Tissue Therapy is run in conjunction with the Register of Orthopaedic & Soft Tissue Therapists of Ireland (ROSTI). It is only open to qualified therapists who have applied for ROSTI membership.
The course is run over 4 contact days throughout the year.
Module 1: Research dissertation preparation
Module 2: Orthopaedic testing for the upper region
Module 3: Orthopaedic testing for the lower region
Module 4: Rehabilitation module
Each learner will be required to conduct research and produce a dissertation to be submitted and presented to a panel at the end of the year.
Dissertation requirements:
10,000 words on a topic related to:
- Injury Prevention
- Injury Management
- Injury Rehabilitation
Each learner will be required to undertake a practical assessment in Orthopaedic & Soft Tissue testing techniques and rehabilitation protocols.
